2016 Macksville/Sawtell Challenge
Return match at Sawtell - Sunday 16th October 2016
The return match was played at Sawtell RSL Club on Sunday 16th October 2016.
Both clubs provided five A and five B grade members to play a round robin in each of the grades.
Results for the day were as follows:
Macksville took a very healthy lead early in the day and it wasn't until 5pm with a couple of frames to go that Sawtell gained the lead. With two frames to be played Sawtell was leading 25 to 23 needing one more for victory. Happily both Alan Pakes (A) and Peet Winney (B) won their final frames amongst much clapping and cheering resulting in a final score of Sawtell 27, Macksville 23.
Once a gain a terrific day was had by all who attended and thanks must go to Himona Remana for preparing the table which played beautifully and to Tournament Director Linda Clayton who once again managed to run a very smooth day in the face of unruly opposition from two mobs of excitable players.
