2014 Macksville/Sawtell Challenge
Inaugural Match at Macksville - Sunday 25th May 2014
Macksville Ex-services Club hosted the first perpetual challenge snooker match between Sawtell RSL Snooker Club and Macksville RSL Snooker Club, on Sunday 25th May 2014.
Both clubs provided four A and four B grade members to play a one 15 red frame round robin series. The frame size was reduced to a 10 reds later in the day as time became an issue and ensured that everybody was able to play four matches each. A new perpetual trophy was purchased jointly by the Snooker Clubs for this occasion and to be awarded in subsequent challenges in the years to come. Sawtell Snooker club thanked Macksville Snooker Club for their hospitality shown during the first Challenge match. We are looking forward to returning that same hospitality when Macksville come to Sawtell RSL Snooker Club in the near future. All players had a very enjoyable day.
